OK June 4 to July 4 - Don't buy anything made in China!

Let's do it one better... I got this email from my ex-father in law, his point was very simple.
To celebrate July 4 this year, stop buying anything made in China from June 4 to July 4.

A Boycott of Chinese Made Products for one month.

No Flags. No Heroes on the Battle field.
Just the simple act of putting back on the shelf
or the table or the floor if it was made in China when you are in any store.

Just don't buy it for ONE month.
If it has printed on it "Assembled or Made in China",
Check your ink cartridges... this might be a real sacrifice for you!

it's easy to print up a batch off address labels that say DONT BUY MADE IN CHINA on your home printer and slap those on the item in the store..

wonder what all those super-patriots who buy Hummers to send a message about their super-patriotism will do now that their icon is going to be owned by the godless Communists.... who also own a good part of America's financial soul.........

Abolish War

The Chinese consulates (Walmart) scattered across the nation won't endorse this.

We have no one to blame but ourselves.

We didn't want to pay what it costs
to manufacture things here in America.

Our unions helped take down our auto industry.

States like Texas are
successful because they are a "right to work state"

This is like Jimmy
Carter and the 70's all over again, but worse!

Go look at what happened during those years to our economy.

I am not asking you to pass this on. I am just asking you to read your history and pay attention to what ia going on around you!

Thanks. Great idea. I thought about it all the way to the vet's office to get the kitty's stitches out. I was proud she rode in a cat carrier old enough (25 yrs) to be made in the USA (in Arlington by Doskocil). Ooooo, my neighbor left her modern carrier here, also Doskocil (petmate.com) and it doesn't say China on it. Bravo.

I needed a ice tea pitcher this weekend... everything I found at Target and Walmart were of course MADE IN CHINA...so I went one of the local thrift stores and got it for LESS money and MADE HERE IN USA...maybe a decade ago, but here.

Fred, I blogged about my lapse at IKEA.
http://agoodfit.blogspot.com/2009/07/more-chinese-poisoned-goods-and-old.html

But I did make Barnes & Noble refund my purchase when I noticed that perfect book I grabbed for my daughter-in-law was printed in China. Didn't even look at it until I was walking away. So I explained the no-China campaign, and the store manager came up and refunded EVEN THOUGH IT WAS OFF THE REMAINDER TABLE.

I can only hope they both "got it".
